No stranger to the Vermont music scene but new to Highlight is The Suitcase Junket, aka Matt Lorenz. Developed in the tension between the grand and the solitary, Lorenz performs the part of five musicians simultaneously, playing instruments he builds from scratch and salvages. The spectacle of his one-man set incorporates characters, narratives, voices, imagery, and sounds as wide and varied as mountain throat singers and roadhouse jukeboxes.
