Come together to celebrate Vermont’s agricultural community with live music, local food, and an exhibition!
Vermont’s agricultural community has faced unprecedented climate challenges in recent years, leaving crops decimated, properties damaged, and local farmers shouldering immense financial burden. Finding inspiration from portraits by local photographer Caitlin Nordgren (Fjallfoto), this event celebrates what makes the Intervale so unique and essential to the greater community. Each photo will be available for purchase via silent auction, with all proceeds going directly to benefit Intervale Farm.
In addition to great music by Louis Betancourt and Jacob Green and discussions from Intervale representatives, enjoy delicious, globally-inspired local food including Brazilian fare from Thingz From Yaad and incredible Himalayan food fare from Sherpa Foods. Cheers your local farmer with a drink from Kraemer & Kin Brewing and their hyper-locally sourced and focused beer.
This Bright Ideas Project was crowdsourced from Vermonters and is generously presented by EastRise.
If you find yourself in Contois Auditorium for a Highlight event, make sure to enjoy a bite from Sherpa Kitchen, Thingz From Yaad and Only Cannoli . Drink will also be available from The Hyde Away, featuring selections from Foam Brewers, Titos Handmade Vodka and Citizen Cider.
Programming at Contois Auditorium is presented by Burlington Electric Department & Vermont Gas Systems.
