Did you know that within the last four decades, over 8,000 refugee families have settled in Vermont? Despite coming from different continents, speaking different languages, and eating different foods, there is a shared interest of coming together to party! Curated by Trinidadi Twagirumukiza, Planet Creation shares Trinidadi’s experience of living as a refugee in Vermont through the cultural fabrics of music and fashion. Come get down to Afrobeat, reggae, and West African dance tunes while experiencing a fashion show of traditional African dress fused with American styles. The first 20 people in the door will be given the opportunity to volunteer as models for the fashion show, and will be rewarded with the choice to take home the piece they model!
