Fever Dolls, The Long White Line: An Interstate Fever Dream

BCA Center135 Church Street

7:30pm - 10:00pm Back to All Events

Nothing says let’s party like a tribute to the U.S. interstate system! But stay with us, because this carnivalesque exploration by Burlington-based rock band Fever Dolls is truly something to behold. Drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol’s Exploding Plastic Inevitable and David Byrne’s True Stories, this immersive art installation and surrealist fashion show features myriad works from local artists, live performances, and an assortment of hors d’oeuvres from Burlington chef Michael Judy to consider one of the most ambitious engineering achievements in human history. The media mashup reflects on the U.S. interstate system’s shaping of the American identity, and how since 1956, the project has transcended its purpose to become a physical projection of American fears, fantasies, and social concerns. The Long White Line promises to be an unforgettable descent into psychedelic madness, and the most fun you’ll have on the road—without having to drive.
